FAQ

Q: What makes this an ACTIVE DETERRENCE camera?
A: When it's scheduled to be active, the camera tracks and locks onto its target, begins flashing its lights, and plays an audio recording. The lights flash blue and red and the audio recordings have the option to chose between 10 presets that warn the subject that their under surveillance or that they are trespassing and need to leave. It also allows for you to set your own audio recording or use two way audio to talk to the perpetrator.

Q: What type of cable do I use?
A: You'll want to use CAT5E

Q: What is WDR?
A: It stands for Wide Dynamic Range. It's used to improve image quality when a light source is behind what you are trying to capture, like a storefront with windows or doors. The light shining behind a person would generally completely darken the image. WDR helps combat that.

Q: Will this camera work with my existing NVR?
A: Potentially, it is ONVIF compliant. You will need to check with your system to see if it is compatible.

Q: How far can I run the cable?
A: A good rule to stick by is 100M, which translates to roughly 330ft. However, there are ways to extend this with proprietary technology. You're going to want to call us to find out the best way to do it for your specific project.

Q: What is the maximum size SD card I can use?
A: 256GB Micro SD.

Q: What is DHCP?
A: It stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol and allows the camera to automatically accept an IP address from the NVR. This will save you time and hassle when installing the system.
