Video recorders; both NVR's (Network Video Recorders) and DVR's (Digital Video Recorders) are often an overlooked piece of equipment. However they are incredibly vital in a CCTV security system. They directly connect to the cameras and record the images they produce. Having a sufficiently powerful recorder is important to not only being capable of recording the resolution produced by the cameras but also being able to capture those images in a high enough frame rate to be visible and have playback fluid.
An NVR/DVR does a lot more than just record images, they control how easily you navigate the system as well as advanced features like remote viewing capabilities. Trust me when I say that if your system is hard to use you'll never want to use it. The last thing you want is to have a hard time trying to figure out how to use a system after an incident. That's why all of our video recorders are incredibly easy to use with intuitive menus, always keep in mind that you can reach out to us if you ever need help as well!
Video recorders store all of their images onto an internal hard drive for storage. How long they can store video depends on: resolution, frame rate, number of cameras and the size/quantity of hard drives.
