The camera is fully weatherized and can be utilized inside or outside of the home making it a perfect fit for any circumstance. Keeping in mind the built in audio microphone, I've seen this camera work wonders at a front door entrance or even your main living room!
All of these features AND it records in a super high resolution being four megapixel which is DOUBLE the resolution over your average 1080P system. Since this camera is a varifocal it offers you the best of both worlds, at the 2.8mm point you will have a 100 degree field of view with the option of being able to zoom that shot into a tight 12mm point which is roughly a 37 degree field of view making it much more narrow. The varifocal lens makes this camera installation friendly, considering you never have to manually get up there and focus the camera or adjust your field of view, you'll have full remote access to change the focal view of that camera from your cell phones, computer or directly from the NVR!

Q: How does the camera receive power?
A: Through POE, either through the use of a switch or if you're using one of our NVR's it has it built right in!
Q: How do I know what type of cable to use?
A: You'll want to use CAT5E
Q: What does WDR do?
A: If there is going to be a lot of back light coming from behind your target viewing area you will notice that the image darkens heavily and you will no longer be able to make out details such as facial recognition. Wide Dynamic Range cuts through that back lighting and restores the image quality.
Q: Can I use this with my current NVR?
A: Yes, as long as it's ONVIF compliant.
Q: Can it record audio as well?
A: Yes! This camera offers a built in audio microphone.
Q: Is there a maximum cable length?
A: Yes, industry standard is right around 330 feet. However you can extend this while utilizing the correct equipment.
