Q: How does the camera receive power?
A: Through the use of POE. Our NVRs have POE built directly into the unit, otherwise, you'll need to use a switch. This is possible because it sends the video and power directly through the same cable

Q: What type of cable do I use?
A: You'll want to use CAT5E

Q: What is WDR?
A: It stands for Wide Dynamic Range. It's used to improve image quality when a light source is behind what you are trying to capture, like a storefront with windows or doors. The light shining behind a person would generally completely darken the image. WDR helps combat that.

Q: Will this camera work with my existing NVR?
A: Potentially, it is ONVIF compliant. You will need to check with your system to see if it is compatible.

Q: Does it record audio?
A: Yes, the camera has a built-in microphone

Q: How far can I run the cable?
A: A good rule to stick by is 100M which translates to roughly 330ft. However there are ways to extend this with proprietary technology. You're going to want to call us to find out the best way to do it for your specific project.
